Maria Circhetta is a Research Fellow at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) of Politecnico di Torino, where she conducts researches in the field of artificial intelligence applied to medicine. She is currently working on a project aimed to evaluate the relationship between stress and cognitive decline through the use of wearable devices and machine learning algorithms.
She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, specializing in Biomedical Instrumentation. Maria carried out her Master’s thesis in collaboration with LINKS Foundation and the Pediatric Emergency Department of the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin. Her research explored the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) as diagnostic support tools for healthcare professionals, assessing their diagnostic accuracy and ability to understand realistic clinical scenarios.
