Ilaria Ciampa is a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering of Politecnico di Torino, where she focuses on the analysis of polysomnographic data aimed at developing algorithms for the automatic detection of sleep disorders.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, where she also completed her Master’s degree with a specialization in Biomedical Instrumentation. During her Master’s program, she conducted her thesis at EPFL, focusing on gait analysis in healthy individuals, patients with Parkinson’s disease and individuals with spinal cord injuries, using inertial sensors in neuroprosthetic and rehabilitative contexts.
