Bachelor and Master

Adriana Di Biase obtained her B.Sc. degree (2019–2022) in Biomedical Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche and her M.Sc. degree (2022–2025) in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Biomechanics, from Politecnico di Torino.
Her Master’s thesis, titled “3D Markerless Clinical Gait Analysis based on RGB and Depth Sensing Technology for Children affected by Cerebral Palsy and Clubfoot”, focused on proposing and validating an innovative markerless protocol for 3D clinical gait analysis using a single RGB-D camera and a 3D statistical human body model. As part of the project, she actively participated in data acquisition sessions at A.S.L. TO5 in Nichelino, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a real clinical environment.

Working Experience and Research Activities

Adriana is currently a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering of Politecnico di Torino. Her current research within the BRIC S-CoDe project focuses on the analysis of physiological signals to objectively assess work-related stress and its correlation with cognitive performance decline. Together with colleagues Maria Circhetta and Sam Calderisi, she contributes to the design of experimental protocols and to the development of methods for processing and integrating physiological signals relevant to stress evaluation.
